We've got a new home!
I know there are not many updates for the past few months... really not in the mood to blog.
Just as we're about to close off 2009, we made a very big decision... to purchase a new home!
For those friends around me know how much I hated hougang, I was literally counting down to move out of this area! But the comfort side is, we have great neighbours. From the day we move in till now they never fail to keep a lookout of our home!! But we know its really time for us to move. We're going to move to Clover By the Park in Bishan.
It was the week before Christmas that Colin ask me to call the developer's agent to kpo if there's any unit that faces the park (all the park facing unit were sold out within 2 weeks when it was launched!). This agent say he has a unit thats not advertise in the market and say will contact me to meet up with me (he refuse to disclose any details over the phone) Throughout that week I called a couple more agents but none of them has park facing unit.
It was 2 days before Christmas, the first agen really called me and we agreed to meet on Christmas day! After getting more details, I was really tempted to throw in my offer but hold back! For the next 2 days was really a struggle for us, buy or not buy! Looking thru URA website the pricing seems reasonable, we even have nitemare! I finally gave my offer 2 days later just to test water.. after all the hoohaa we sealed the deal.
After sealing the deal was also the beginning of my next nitemare, trying very hard to get loan from the bank!!
We've since exercised the option and paid the downpayment + stamp duty (I know why IRAS is so damn rich!) We're now just waiting for the developer to announce the TOP date! We are really counting down now!
I have a bitter & sour feeling now, to bid a sad farewell to my nice neighbours in a year's time, we hope to have such nice neighbours in the next nest
